Jesse Thomas joined Equitable Advisors in 1999. Previously, Jesse had an eight-year career in banking. His business focuses on helping others through financial strategies, retirement funding and estate preservation planning. Jesse enjoys helping owners of closely-held businesses protect their assets, provide cost-effective employee benefits, and insure the long-term stability of their businesses. In 2001, Jesse was appointed as Divisional Vice President in the Lehigh Valley Office, where he spent 8 years building a district focusing on the Berks and Lehigh areas.
For business owners, we have generally found there are three basic concerns where we help provide strategies.
The first is business succession planning, or passing the baton. We work together with the client's CPA and attorney to help ensure the proper planning is in place for a smooth transition of business interest, and help make sure the family is taken care of in the event of a premature death,disability, or life time retirement.
The next concern is employee benefit programs, which encompasses retirement plans, executive benefits and salary continuation plans. Our focus is to help provide a cost and tax effective mix of benefits to attract and retain your key people.
The third issue is business tunnel vision-the tendency for some business owners to plan primarily for their businesses, leaving some personal planning issues to help ensure business owners have their own personal financial planning is in order.
